Jessica is a co-founder, board member, and trustee of the Women in Jazz Association of British Columbia, a not-for-profit organization that holds events to empower women and individuals who identify as women in the jazz scene and aims to make the jazz scene more inclusive for all genders.

In addition, she is the main writer for Sister Jazz the Blog, and sits on the board for the Seattle Women in Jazz organization.

Jessica was the co-founder and organizer of HEARTBEAT: A Night of Intercultural Community Building Through Music and Poetry, which realized its 2nd successful year in March 2019.

Professional vocalist

Jessica's jazz trio, Ptriodactyl, has released their debut album “Primal Navigation” and, in 2019, her free jazz trio, Closest Living Relative, will be releasing their debut album.

She is also featured on the upcoming album by Bronson Ferdinand, whose tentative release date is 2020. 

Education

Jessica received her Diploma in Jazz Studies from Capilano University and her joint major in Anthropology and Communication from Simon Fraser University.
